Normally, if I like a book I'm inclined to simply praise the parts I really enjoyed withholding pretty criticisms. My dual intentions are a) encouraging other readers to have an excellent ride as I did and b) giving positive reinforcement to the author to encourage her to keep up the great work. I especially want to support indie writers!In this case, I am inspired to give praise in addition to some suggestions, which I believe will help this author achieve even greater success.
On the positive side, I enjoyed the plot, characters, "bedroom scenes," and world building. Bravo
Opportunities:
Frankly, these books are way over priced given competition/comparable products in the market. While creativity is not a generic commodity, and the writing is good, this author is not yet a best seller, whose works can command a higher price.
Also, these books constitute a serial vs. Three separate stories. That is fine, but the author needs to make that very clear to the reader up front. Other serials charge much less per installment even if said stories ARE best sellers. By not disclosing that this is a serial and charging way too much, the author creates animosity with the reader/customer and builds an unfortunate barrier to entry.
For example, i downloaded the sample & was hooked so I purchased the 1st book. I felt it was overpriced at the time given that the length actually categorizes it as a short story or novella, but it was very engaging so I bought it. There was a crazy cliffhanger ending, so I, reluctantly, bought the 2nd. After another frustrating cliffhanger, I went to purchase the 3rd and was really offended to have to pay another $3. I did buy it to support the author, but will be cautious in purchasing more of her work because I feel taken advantage of.
My other suggestions include the following:
Please use the divine and luscious term "pussy" vs. Hole. We have the gift of 8,000 nerve endings in our sacred pussies for the sole purpose of pleasure and "hole" degrades this beautiful gift.
Flesh this story out girlfriend! There is a lot of room for more meat, which can't often be said. For example, I'd like additional backstory on all of the characters.
If the price was right, I would recommend this series without hesitation.

From book one, I was sitting on the fence unsure as to whether to keep reading the series - I found Maritza hard to relate to, and there was nothing that hooked me into the storyline - but another reviewer recommended I persevere.
I enjoyed book two much more though I can't say I've progressed much from my last review, I'm still on that fence - I'm frustrated by the price and shortness of the content (discussed below), I'm not sure I like the heroine and I know the hero doesn't rock my world.
But I'm intrigued as to what will happen next, and I'll grudgingly pay the price for the third chapter because it's got that hook in me now.
It's a good read if you read one straight after the other and aren't expecting complete books from each, the author is talented, and the story keeps your interest.
What I didn't like
It does list number of pages and does say it's an "instalment" (though it's also titled "Book Two") but...
It is so frustrating when authors split one book up into as many small pieces as possible and charge you as much as you'd pay for a full book. Book two is not a book two, it's the second chapter of book one, and waaaaay overpriced for 57 pages estimated.
Book two is also formatted so it cannot be read alone - there is no title page, no recap, it just launches straight into the story - so if you're a first time reader of this series please note you do have to start with book one.
I still haven't had the attachment from Martiza to her progeny that as a mother I can relate to. The story does touch on it twice in this section, but her relationship to the embryos feels like a passing thought - it does not make a real connection.
What I liked
Book two is well written and easy to read.
Now that I know the characters I am in sync with the tone and can appreciate Maritza's unique "voice", and it really does give you a good mental picture of the character. I'm not sure I like her, but I'm starting to relate and think about what I would do and react in her situation and the fact that I have that much buy in to her predicament is a sign of a good author.
The story is starting to heat up with Maritza being emotionally backed into a corner (can't give you more information without giving away the plot) and it does leave you hanging as to what she'll do next.
The sex scenes are original and well crafted (but didn't rock my boat, I personally like a little more romance in my heroes).
Recommendation gird your loins and pay the price if you're after a light, easy, interesting read.
